This time I am providing a simple plan for starting a business online, answering a question that gets asked a lot. Also, as I continue to seek ways to promote my own business, I have been concentrating on search engine optimization. Sean Burns is providing an excellent article to stimulate your thoughts on that topic. Online People keep asking how to start a business and how to start an ezine. Well, how about putting the two together, since that's the best way to do it anyway? After all, there's never been a time, an op*portunity or a medium that makes it easier to start a successful business than now, online. And that's why you are reading this in the first place. Here's what to do. 1. Go to Pushbutton Publishing. I don't know of an easier way to get all the tools you need to get started. And I wouldn't wait, because if people keep grabbing this offer at the rate they are now, Bryan is liable to raise the price just so he can keep control. 2. Set up an ezine using the unlim*ited free autoresponders (how does he do all this for the price?). If you need help getting started, get one of the best here or here. And, of course, if you need help on using autoresponders grab one of these resources. Start with the free Autoresponders Unleashed! if you are new online (you're gonna want it to give away to your subscribers anyway), then move on to the full All About Autoresponders product. 3. Go to hiplists.com and select one of their 5000 subscribers in a month offers. Here's a little secret. If you think those newsletters with 10,000 or 20,000 subscribers got there without paying to get some of those subscribers, think again. Another good source of subscribers (and there are a lot of bad ones!) is Marty Foley's Lead Factory. Remember how these services work. They don't pay people to subscribe to your ezine (don't think about using any service that does). They merely present your ezine to a larger number of people more quickly than you possibly could on your own. Some of those will like what you have to offer and subscribe. 4. Tell your subscribers something they want to know. It's that simple. What do they want to know? Well, you decide what lights your fire, then you tweak it as appropriate to make it useful to your subscribers. If it doesn't carry some interest with you, it's unlikely you will be enthusiastic enough about it to attract subscribers. So make sure your ezine offering is attractive and enthusiastic. No ideas on an ezine? Even the simplest idea can work if you have good content. My frie*nd Ryan Deiss has an ezine called Webs Worth Watching, alerting his subscribers to websites of value they wouldn't have known about otherwise. Simple idea, but it works. You can send out a daily or weekly inspirational, motivational, or just encouraging thought. The possibilities are endless. 5. After you cultivate a relationship with your subscribers, start offering them products that fit their needs. They should also be products you know are good because you tried them. If your subs are in business online, for example, your could offer them Rankings Revealed, a fantastic e-book full of no-nonsense facts anyone can immediately put to use to boost their rankings in the search engines. How do I know? I bought it, am using it and am enthusiastic about it. You can read my review to learn more. And the review itself is part of a strategy that came of out Rankings Revealed. Great book. Now, if I've been blowing smoke at you about opportunities, I wouldn't expect you to believe me now. But if you believe me when I tell you something is good, chances are you will look into it yourself. Same for your ezine, your offers, and your subscribers. If what you offer is of good value, they will appreciate it, and tell their friends, who will tell their friends... 6. From here on, the sky's the limit. Seek out a niche market and create your own product. If you absolutely don't want to go that route, become a super affiliate and only promote other's products. A great new concept along this line is the ClickBank Mall. (Note: Don't delay looking at this one - it is now available for a one-time charge but will be converting to a monthly fee.) Keep exploring, testing, and trying new avenues until you come up with the combination of what works and what fits you. I'm not claiming there is no work involved here. If you didn't work at it you wouldn't appreciate the rewards. But none of this will happen until you start, and there's no better time to start than today. Can't say no one told you how!
